Lady Jane Bed And Breakfast Bruges Carmersstraat 11, Bruges, Belgium
The house dates back to 1673; as it is the highest building in the street, it showed that the people who lived there were important. It has a very long history, with a wide variety of occupants. A doctor, 2 bishops, an owner of a brewery, a lace industrialist, a former colonial master and others once lived here. During the first world war, it is rumoured that the dwelling was occupied for 2 years by a commander of a german u-boat.
At the b&b there is also a lovely wine cellar. You can have a drink there, if you don’t mind the cool temperature of around 16° c.
